ephemeral certainty
ephemeral certainty It is born from a visceral contradiction: The fleeting experience of the absolute truth that bursts with the overwhelming force of a flash, dazzling for a moment before disappearing. The series does not portray a place in physical space, but a fraction of time. That moment when the possibility of regaining control becomes real and, understanding it, fades into the dark, leaving a ghost in our retina.
In this project, the rigid wood support becomes a tactile record of fingerprints and silences. Through the use of cold acrylic glazes, scratches and dense pastel agglomerations, the matter acts as a direct vehicle for introspection. The act of painting becomes an exercise of subtraction and accumulation; a voluntary renunciation of the outer coordinates to be able to inhabit the void.
Visually, the series is structured with architectural rigor. Ten intimate format works (40×40 cm) function as iterations of the same state of mind that orbits towards a monumental climax: a large format triptych (180×120 cm). In it, physical memory is buried under matter. Emotional transit advances from this suffocation towards total abstraction, culminating in a white cast that burns reality to give way to light.
